Vocalist, Composer, and Motivational Speaker Tomas Jay currently is pursuing his master's degree at The University of New Orleans continuing his studies in Vocal Performance and Composition in their Jazz studies program. Tomas is also a New England Conservatory of Music alumni, and a graduate from Ruth Asawa San Francisco School of the Performing Arts. Tomas is a 2015 Akademia Music award winner. Tomas has performed in the San Francisco Jazz Festival, and "top of the hill" Jazz Festival in San Mateo sponsored by KCSM SF bay area jazz station. Tomas was a featured performer for a national PBS special broadcast, performed at the Great American Music Hall with the Mood Swing Orchestra, a featured artist with his band Tomas Jay Experience on WWOZ weekly radio show, "Jazz at the French Market" hosted by Maryse DeJean, concert at the New Orleans Jazz Museum, and many other popular venues. These impressive credentials, however, can’t begin to express the powerful sound of his voice—for that, you need to hear him for yourself.
